Damaged Part?

Hi Guys

Whilst cleaning the CW after a carve yesterday, I found this:

Any ideas what it is and what may have caused it. I heard nothing unusual while it was carving and the workpiece is not damaged in any way. The carve was in MDF using a sled.

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Looks something Like Part # 82 Page 5 of the CW parts Manual,
We've seen a few brake off over the last couple of years.

Should I replace it?

A couple of folks didn't order new ones, they just added a little Epoxy Glue to it, to screw and glue it back in place. :wink:

And a few Haven't replaced them at all. Can Some Identify this Part? (http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?t=12135&highlight=Head+FFC+Retainer)

Figure 12 on page 6 of that pdf file that Atauer posted shows exactly where it goes

It helped me and my fix is still working.
