carve region help

Im making a plaque for my grandpa that has a turkey pattern that i want raised 1/2" above the board, so i set the pattern depth to 1/2" deep and then i made a carve region 1/2" deep. The pattern looks great but i also need to make 3 smaller rectangle carve regions 3/8" deep after i have the 1/2" carve region in place but i cant figure out how to get them to the right depth after i put the 1/2" carve region on. I have the mpc here so you can look at it, sorry if i am not explaining this well enough.

Select each 3 small rectangle and make it a carve region then right click on each them and select "invert pattern" then add merge style + or - to each rectangle. Merge + (positive) if you want it to raise above or merge - (negative) if you want it lower.
