Are you by chance doing centerline text?

Does it give you the option to "continue"? I do know on centerline text my machine will stop and give the same message, but when I hit continue it finishes the job just fine. Never had it do that on a carving tho.

ya it sure does give the option to continue heres the thing its been doing this for about a week now and i have to do a rush carve but when it went to go start carving it would not turn the flexshaft is in place.I am thinking the brushes on the motor are pooched.....

I get it all the time on centerline too, I think thats pretty much a known issue. Just continue keeps it moving. Even if it's just doing the centerline portion of a project that has carving and cut paths.

The only time I got that error when doing just carving was a bad power supply.

Good luck,
Craig

How many hours on the machine? AL has a bunch of posts on cut motor brushes, I think he says they go somewhere around 200 hours (not positive of the number there).

I think you may have hit it on the head. I've also heard 200 hrs for a set of brushes.

Sounds about right then, you can probably find one of Al's posts for the brush info if you need it.

EDIT:
Here is a post where AL recommends buying them from LHR - it lists the part number, $5 for the set of 2....
("CB001 Carbon Brush Set of 2. My Jan 2009 Price was $5.00 for the set.")
