I purchased the neoclassical pattern and I have carved the box. I was wondering if someone can tell me how I can design the edge like is between the fingers in the picture below, to get the bevel then I can add the carvings. I want to design smaller jewelry boxes with bevels.

Any info is appreciated in advance.

Couldn't you use the lid in the purchased file and delete the art on it and add your own after resizing it.

Try these two Taper Patterns. You may stretch them as needed. The degree of slope will depend upon the depth and height you assign.

I have also suggested, to LHR, that these Tapers be added to the "Dome" Section, so we could also more easily apply them to odd shaped areas. So far, no response from LHR.

I will play around with these patterns and see what I can come up with. You are a great help for us newbies.

Thanks again

It is really very cool and attractive jewelery box. The wooden texture colour looks awesome and quite royal. I suggest you to attach some glittering stones and golden color designs on it.

Nice looking box George. Hope you can get the smaller done the way you want it. If you can post a picture of it please.

George,
It's very simple to do what you are wanting. Infact there is a tutorial explaining that exact process in the designer tutorials on the website. http://www.carvewright.com/downloads/tutorials/designprojects/designproject5.pdf Make sure to spend some time in the learn section of carvewright.com to get a better understanding of how your system works. http://www.carvewright.com/2010CWweb/tutorials.htm
Hope this helps!
