What type of plastics can be used on the Carvewright? I have been wanting to make some cutout sign inserts for an old exit sign that I have.

Robert,
Since you haven't received an answer, I'll venture one "guess" that I believe I've heard on this, and that's using Lucite for plastic carving.

I have some 1" acrylic I'm going to test but haven't yet. I have seen samples that look good but have been told to keep the machine clean while working, vacuum often.
As far as I have come up with the harder plastics will work well, Lexan, acrylics, etc. I'm also going to test some PVC board (much softer). I have tested high density foam will very good results.

I WOULD THINK ACRYLIC WOULD BE TOO BRITTLE AND BREAK OUT AROUND THE EDGES.
