Hi all.
I just purchased a machine and was wondering if anyone has ever put a variable speed control on one? Could be a real asset in some kinds of material. Thanks Gramp

I don't think you want to do that. The CW has an rpm sensor that regulates the cut speed. Also most aftermarket variable speed controls regulate the speed by varying the voltage to the tool. That could screw up the computer and the sensors and really screw up a carve or worse.

be slow enough once you get used to it and it tells you 14 hours to carve something. welcome to the addiction oh i mean forum.

There is nothing that a user can do to slow down the machine.

The closest thing is being able to select the depth of cut doing a cut path or vector. The Feed Rate is set by the computer and we have no control over it. It is set to cut WOOD.

Cutting denser things like Plastic and you need to buy a CNC machine where you can adjust the feed rate.

A Variable speed or Variac used to lower the voltage from 115 to something lower will slow the RPM on the cut motor.

The Power Supply takes the AC and makes DC to run the electronics. It will work down to about 90 volts AC before failing.

Slowing the cut motor and maintaining the feed rate would stall the unit or snap the bit.

WTF is that all about LG? If it will make your CW/CC work better than yours now and that is your secret then I will buy one and put it on mine. :)

It may also be used to monitor the Giggler Shaft for the roasmary spindel.

You're all going to hear from me when some newbie calls Customer Support complaining that they can't locate their dingle arm or giggler shaft in the exploded parts view list.
