Ladies and gents:

Finished up a carving late last night and as I removed the piece from the machine, there was a part lying on top.

I haven't had a chance to tear into the machine yet to discover from whence it came.

Anyone have any ideas? Am I dead in the water until it's replaced? The last carving finished with no problems.

Thanks!

Looks like the old homing sensor from the left side of the z-truck. You'll probably see where it "used" to be if you look at your z-truck- might still have a screw there too (which should be removed). If I'm right about which part it is, no need to worry - it is no longer necessary.

Looks like the part Michael T listed to me also. I kept the screw to hold on the blow pipe I made from the exhaust port. Works for me. Just my 2 cents.

That is the most photographed "What is IT" part.... First Clear Picture I have seen posted... It is usually a black spot out of focus leaving everyone guessing....

Good Picture.... No worries... Old Z Homing Sensor Shook loose by the QC. Not used anymore because it shook loose.... Too Expensive to replace 10,000 sensors so they just change the way it homes.... Bumps into to top mechanical stop.

AL who.... Always full of useless info....
