hello out there,
I have quick question,I am going to try carving a litho that is 3/16 thick what i would like to know what should i set my depth and hight at i know in some tips they are using 1/4 inch thick.Any he;.lp would be great.

I use a depth setting of 0.150 and height 300.
Just my preference. Hope it helps.

This is pretty close to the default I use - mine's .150 and 400.
BUT, that's for 1/4" material. I typically use .5" material, so my depth is set at .400 - that's the original .150 AND the additional .250 of the 1/2" stuff.
So, for 3/8" stuff, your depth should be set at .150 PLUS another .125 (simply the diff between 1/4" and 3/8" thick material), making it .275 :confused:
Finally, I've found that the deepest part of your carve should leave between .10 and .13" of material - thicker, and too little light comes through.
