I needed to replace my wood sensor, so I ordered and received 2 new ones from CarveWright. So I went to remove the two screws holding the old one on and the head of one of the screws broke off. How in the world am I going to remove the broken screw in order to install the new sensor? Thanks!

Hi Butch,
If there is enough of the screw exposed after you get the sensor out, of course you could try grabbing it with small vise grips. I assume you probably cant do this, so another method i have used is taking one of the thin cutoff wheels in a dremel tool, and cutting a screwdriver slit in the bolt body, and turning it out with a miniature straight screwdriver.

Hope this helps,

Ron

Ron,

The use of the Dremel to cut a slot sounds like a great idea! I'll give that a shot! Thanks for the quick reply!!

just be careful to center it up the best possible. If the screw broke off even with the face of the sheet metal, you will likely only get one shot at it...

Good Luck!
