Yes it carved nice on oak. i did do one on pine with a bolder font but liked the effect on the oak better. gave it an antique sign look, i was not really looking for a real clean look. if you want to carve it just make sure you set the height setting on text to 50 or below and change to any bold text. that should be a cleaner look. thanks for looking- paul
