Why cant I delete an attachment ?

I am unable to delete an attachment in my project.
I right click on the yellow dot that I want to delete and it just changes the mouse cursor to an up arrow. When you right click it promots you for the atttachment length.

Problem is the pattern is not able to move up or down, just left and right.

The YELLOW NUMBER is the ATTACHMENT, not the Dot.
A Right click on the number should bring up an Option Screen to Delete or Alter the Attachment.
