Was starting a project and when it started to measure the board it said somthing about AXIS (I THINK) AND now the LED is blank NOTHING. I have tried powering it on and off but still nothing JUST DEAD!!!

I got it going don't know how tho. Flashed my card and it started again

May have just been your card wasn't seated good. Thats electronics for ya, sometimes ya just never know how or why things happen. But good you're up and running......carve away oldman from texas

Used to live in Texas now in the Rockies in Colorado.
Now the machine keeps stopping and telling me to close cover!!!

Same thing happened to mine after I started carving on mine. As I checked it out I noticed that the flex shaft had slipped a little out of the "top hat". I had taken it out earlier to lube it and could have sworn that I pushed it down correctly and turned the lock collar on it. Anyway, it had slipped out some causing my machine to stop and give me the 299 error. Anyway, I pushed it back in and made sure the "bb" popped out good after I reset the lock collar. Error went away and I made 2 carvings after that with no more problems.
