Help Making a pattern

I had origionally posted this in the techniques forum but got no responses maybe I had it in the wong area. I am still on the software learning curve, so I was wondering if anyone could help me on this one. I would like to make a pattern out of just the vine in the following pics. Just the area between the stars, with a star on just one end. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice

Hi gumbo,

Just saw your post about the vine and star Pattern you're trying to do.

I looked closely at your Photo and see that it's of to poor quality to make it directly into a usable pattern,
you will need a much higher resolution picture to work with.

yes thats what I thought also. But thats the best I could find, what did you do to clean it up that good I couldn't even get it that good?

I just removed the background noise and added a little more contrast
in Paint. Net. There's really not much else to do, other than re-drawing it from scratch
or drawing over the pattern I posted with Vector lines in designer.
