1st time user with error codes

I bought my machine 3rd party. I get an error message which reads the following: z axis staled error: 308. Can anyone help me? :confused:

As you read in the other post it comes down to a few things that can cause this.

I am going to post 2 pictures of the New and Old Z. The Old Z is a 16 pin cable version and had problems with a Z Stall. Since you are new here I want to be sure you look at this first. It could be a older machine with the old Z.

Look at the cooling fins on the Z Motor in picture 1. Long Cooling Fins OLD Z, Short Cooling Fins NEW Z GOOD. Picture 2 shows the second circuit board with the Clips holding the cables.

If you don't have the New Z then recommend you order it.

So lets say you have the new Z.

Then the most common thing is dirty Z Rails and Z Bearings, especially the no mans land between the rollers...

Next is a dirty Z Belt.

Next is a dirty Z Encoder Disk.

Next is a Bad 14 pin FSC Cable.

A Loose Bit in the Holder or Rock moving toward the board can cause it by jamming the bit.

Not staying under the rollers and when the board comes out from under the roller the board pops up and jams the bit.

If that does not fix it...
