Can anyone help me. My machine is not measuring the board. 1st it started with error 315, then error 400. basically it states "Check tracking roller". The roller moves fine with the board againtst it. I have tried several boards, I have used masking tape. The machine measures across the top but when it measures side to side it stops as soon as the wood clears the tracking roller. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you checked to insure that the little rubber O ring is in place and intact on the brass roller?

Thanks,
Craig

I Chave changed the "O" ring twice already.

Then the only thing I can offer is to make sure you got it back in the right place (there are two grooves that will take the o-ring on the brass tracker), here is a stolen pic from one of Ken's posts (attached). I'm sure someone with more experience will chime in, good luck.

Thanks,
Craig

Try a search for "check tracking roller" - there are some other good suggestions out there too, such as:

-try a different piece of wood in case that one is warped
-make sure the belts haven't started to roll under
etc.

If nothing else, it will give you something to try while you wait for someone else to post up a suggestion.

Good luck,
Craig

Thanks, I already did the search. Looks like I will have to call Carvewright.
Thanks again.

Well now it is having a mind of its own...It keeps coming up "Check Tracking Roller" after I try a few times then it works. I probably have to replace a censor or something. Hopefully they can help me on the phone.

What color of wood are you using? If real dark wood you might try putting masking tape across the board that runs under the board sensor..

That happens to me when there is a slight (very slight) twist in the board or it is too thin.

Check the board with a straight edge.
