View Full Version : Don't really want to scale but ---

I'm doing a job using a 2.5" wide boaed. The mpc file also is 2.5" wide. My carving is .25" from the edge of the board. When I try to do this, I'm told to either scale or change the board. The manual says that 2.5" is the minimum width but I can't find anything saying how close to the edge you can carve. When I put in a wider board (and later rip to size on a bandsaw) it works fine. Is this how it's supposed to work?
As always, thanks.

Did the Designer suggest that you autojig the board? If it did and you accepted the autojigging, then it would require a 1" wider board.

A second posibility is that we allow a small error margin for fitting the project to a board without the scaling prompt, and if the machine is not measuring accurately, then it might prompt you to scale. If this appears to be the case, try running the Calibrate Offsets from the Options menu.
