View Full Version : How do I made a design work on this plaque?

I don't remember where I got this plaque shield from but tonight thought I would use it for something. ( I searched the Pattern Depot and couldn't find anything. I wouldn't want to post something licensed.)

I want to use a pattern on it of some artwork I imported. The pattern looks good but when it is in the plaque area, it doesn't show up.

I understand that the depth of the shield carve is leaving just a little bit of relief from the artwork, but I don't see how to remedy it. I experimented with depth and height with no success. I tried outlining the pattern and making it a carve region. But nothing seems to work. It's probably simple, but I am missing it.

Could someone explain, please? (Probably small words and lots of pictures would be a good idea:) )

Have you tried the "merge" tool?? usually additive works the best..

You can try the merge tool "additive" like fwharris said. or you can set the height of front object higher then the height of the object behind it.
But usually the merge options work best.
Hope this help.
