Unfortunately, no. You cannot retrieve files from the memory card.

Do you have a backup of your hard drive? If so, and if you saved your mpc's to your hard drive, then you can retrieve the files from your backup.

JimStaley, I know this won’t help in your situation, but in the future it may. I keep all my files on cd r/w or DVD r/w, or use a USB hard drive, or even a flash drive.
Also you can find all the Attachments to the post at this url. ptn, mpc, jpg,zip, etc.
