While playing with the moon pattern I decided to try and make some rossettes out of it. How would I go about carving the background so that the carving sat completly proud of it. I think Ill change the board thickness to 1 1/4". I was also thinking about trying to dome the piece then carve it as the moon is a sphere.
Any input would be appreciated.

Download my file from that thread. Click on the background. In the depth box in the menue bar, define depth. In this case it was .20. Feel free to change it and see how it reacts.

I got it I needed to carve the region after I used the rectangle tool. Once I downloaded yours I could see the components you used.
Your response was very much appreciated thanks
