Bit head keeps moving after lid is lifted

Hello all,

I have a problem. While carving I lifted the lid to suck out dust. The motor stopped turning, but the head kept sweep ing back and forth, following the carving contour. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Lifting the cover is not a good idea.
