Thanx for helping the dope with the carving list. I was reading the rave reviews about the "rock chuck". What are the advantages of it besides easier bit removal. Thanx in advance

Better balance, less noise, less vibration on the machine (thus, less repair), no need to get QC Adaptors, to name a few.

Well, there are THOUSANDS of folks using the Quick Chuck that came with the machine and not having big issues with it. While I like the idea of the Quick Change chuck, I think it requires to much cleaning and care for a lot of folks and so they find the 'Rock' easier to use.

I also like the idea of a more versatile chuck that lets a wider selection of bits to be used. There again there is the downside of folks trying to use improper bits and damaging their machine.
