How do you tell how deep the 1/8" bit is cutting. I want to cut some letters in the back of a piece of plexiglass mirror, so I want to cut only deep enough to go thru the mirror on the back. Lets say I'm using Estrangelo Edessa lettering with a centerline cut. The plexiglass may only be .125. I know I'll need to put it on a backer board. Thanks to all.

.125" is 1/8" so I wouldn't want to go deeper than 0.0625 (1/16") or you'll be pretty close to going completely true your material. So be sure to have your total Board Setting "thickness" to your carrier plus your 1/8" mirror, then set your depth to .0625 (0.063) with centerline cut. That should do it.
