Help Carves too deep

Machine has been working good for 30 or 40 hours than all of a sudden it starts carving and just keeps going deep and deeper.

Post 14..... NEW.... Is machine OLD?

DO you have the old Z or the new Z? Long cooling fins on the old Z. That is a classic problem with the old Z.

Bit loose in the bit holder... You need to Blue Lock Tite them EVEN NEW bits...

Picture 2 has text about something else but is a good shot of the 2 screws that hold the Truck. I had a loose truck and found the screws loose on the BELT.

Bad Encoder, Dirty Encoder, Encoder clear plastic loose on shaft of Z Motor.

Wood Chips in the Z Belt preventing a UP movement.

Board it tipping up only being under 1 roller?

The machine is almost 1 yr. old nothing but trouble since I had it. Got all new updates new berrings, rock chuck, truck that moves up and down, and it started working great and I was happy with it finally. that tonite I carved 4 different items out 1 good and 3 bad. It just started getting deeper and deeper. on a long carving it went all the way thru a 3/4 inch board. I have a dust collector on it and I keep it very clean and oiled.

Order a new Z Motor and FSC Cable.
