I think you are asking about removing the Flex Shaft from the Truck, so you may lube the Flex.
Go to this link and review to first 3 steps. You do not need to do anything at the motor end of the shaft.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT remove the shaft or the "C" ring unless you are an expert or want to buy a new truck assembly! Here is a paper on removing the QC that you may have already seen and used.
