Does anyone here know where I could find a sanding mop or mini mop? I have been to Lowes, Home Depot and Sears and they all give me the same dumb look like I am speaking some foreign language. They did the same thing several months ago when I went in there looking for a hasp. It is so sad when the customer knows more than the employees do. What ever happened to the good ol' days when you could rely on the advice of the local hardware person???
Ok sorry for the rant (stepping down off soapbox)

Also some of the WoodCrafts stores carry them.

I bought the ones from the Stockroom Supply that badger linked to and have been very happy with them. I would recommend getting seperate mandrels if you are going to run different grits, it's a little bit of a pain in the butt to swap them out.

Hardware PERSON?? The few remaining hardware stores that I know of wouldn't hire a woman if she offered to work for free.

Griz,

Those guys that had all of the advice are retired! Plus the good old days lumber yard/hardware store retired with the coming of the big box concept. I try to educate the "I've never heard of that" by asking where some thing related to what I'm after might be. Take them along to find it and tell em what the heck it is and what it's for.

I think they appreciate it, hope they do any way.

Oh yeah,
Looks like you got some good info on the sanding mop!:D
