View Full Version : How to make curves clean ?

Hi,

i would like to know how I can get the curves on the ptn clean.

As you can see they are not "straith" and of course it's cut as it with the CW.

Is this what you mean?
You can trace over your pattern with the Spline tool
to make Cut-path with out the ragged edges.

but if I have JPG like the one attacheds, can How can I clean it before importing it in the Designer ?

Any advice ?

I cleaned it up in Corel Draw and then to paint then imported to designer and with the pattern editor finished cleaning up the rest!

Well shoot the jpg didn't come out!

You will need a better and larger Graphic like a PNG File, to get rid of some of the pixilation and
Saw Tooth Edge in your photo before you can use it to make a Pattern to carve.

I blew up your Jpg picture and changed it to a png file,
but still had to Smooth it out with the Spline Tool in Designer. :smile:

You can use image editing shoftware to clean it up. However, you need a bigger image with higher resolution in order to have a nice and clean pattern.
