I am trying to carve this stained glass window pattern.

I shrunk it considerably from the original and lost most of the detail. I have tried raising the depth profile but it doesn't seem to do that much.

Maybe it just won't carve well on that small a piece of wood?

It's better but everything is sort of distorted as compared to it being carved at the original size.

See the screenshot of it at full size to see what I mean.

If you like post the jpg and I will try making another pattern for you.

Maybe trying to playing with the height as well as the depth on the pattern. Not sure how much detail there is supposed to be but it doesn't look to bad.

if you reduced the size, you'll have to reduce the depth as well.

Well I was hoping for the actual file you made the pattern with. But I did play with mpc again see if it works for you. I didn't have the font so you need to change it to the one you want.

Thanks, Ike. That's all I have, the mpc.

Is this one better? No offense the mpc is not the best if you really look close at it. I think it looked better I would even adjust it back to 150 on the height.

Great Project!!

I'm sure it should make an outstanding Carving.

Well I didn't mean the project wasn't cool! I meant I wasn't sure how it will carve from a close up look of the pattern.

Shacky needs the pattern downsized and it looks great at the larger size.

Not what I meant, I actually up-sized it a little more, I was just saying that I liked the Graphic Subject.

What a difference in detail by raising the rectangle by .250 made. Good Job

Gee I took the rectangle out maybe should have left it in? Shacky is wanting the project to be smaller quite a bit smaller around 3.25 by 9" for the whole project.

I'm getting the feelin' that there is just too much there to get a good carve in that small of a space.

I do appreciate you fellows working on it.

I got to 3.005" X 9" with out very much distortion in Designer,
roll the mpc around and you,ll see what I mean.

I guess the only way to see how it will turn out is to do a test carve!
