Hi All,

Looking for inspiration and ideas for CW made Xmas Gifts.

I made name signs and Tic Tac Toe boards last year.

Lets see what you folks are making this year.

The only thing I have planned so far is this LSU logo for my Brother-in-Law

Hi,

I plan on making a few small boxes for close friends.

I will also be making a few of these for family:

The next POM "The Joy Tree"
http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?t=13284

The last POM "Autumn Leaf Candy Dishes"
http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?t=13250

That's about all the time I will have, I should have started earlier! Now I know for next year how time consuming some projects are. I still lack in my finishing skills so things take me a bit of extra time. I hope to find some time soon to play with the HVLP sprayer, maybe that will help some.

I just made a couple cribbage boards. I picked up the actual game layout off of this forum (thanks to whomever did it) and then made a few changes to suit me.

I made these in oak and they are quite nice. Just change the family name to the person you're giving it to (obviously), then pick up some adhesive back felt at Michaels or JoAnn Fabrics. I finished it in spar varnish, but that's personal choice, of course. I bought some really sharp cribbage pegs from this fellow on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140353349545&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT they came quickly and are quite nice.

Notice on the board, I placed 2 extra holes to show the half way mark and added an "S" to show the skunk line. I left extra room on the board for you to put the cards on to be cut during game play. We just used ours tonight the first time and I really like it.

Anyway, here's a project I am doing as a Christmas gift.

I know it's been a while since I've been on here :( Been in bad health, but feel somebetter now. Right now my machine is in for repairs, but I am working on a pooh bear clock for my mom. Inside Pooh's belly is the clock and I am going to create "balloons" that will hold round picture frames of all of her grandkids. It will be conneccted with ribbons. She'll love it! Will post a picture of it when I get it done.
