Joining Lines

I am working on a cutout that says "Merry Christmas". I created the text in Paint Shop Pro to join all the letters together. I then imported it into Designer and then outlined it. When I went to do the cut out lines, it thinks that the remaining lines are not connected. Is there a way to manually join the "outlined" lines?

Would this help. I just used the spline tool to trace the "unclosed" outline paths from you mpc. There may be another way... but this also works.

try clicking on "select all" then cut with 1/8inch bit, tabs?
