CarveWright manual recommends using a light oil on the guide rails but this seems counter-intuitive. Why introduce a substance that will collect dust and lead to Y & Z axis stalls?

Wouldn't a teflon or graphite lubricant be better? Looking for comments/thoughts.

Tracy,

I use a teflon dry lube on both the x/y rails!!! Depending on what I have been carving I will also clean them with alcohol to remove any pitch build up and the re lube with the dry lube..
