I've copied a pattern four times in a row, how do I link them together. I've tried the tips but I still don't understand. Can someone give me a step by step instruction? It is a vine pattern.

Thanks

Jack

what do you mean by "link" them together? for questions like these it is always easier if you can also post the mpc. That way members can see what you are trying to accomplish and give more directed responses.

Thanks,

I can't post the mpc as it is a bought pattern. I guess I mean group them together as one. I have a board 48" X 3.5", trying to place vine on 36" of the 48". If that make sense?
I've copied and pasted next to each other in the 36" length. I want to center the group on the 48" board. I think I need to group or merge them somehow.

I know this is just a stock vine file, but see if this helps a little with what your’e trying to do.
I took a single Vine segment, and started from the center of the board adding two more section to the left,
selected "all" and made them into a group.
Then mirrored them to the right, and streched them a little to make up the 36”

Ken,

I just did as you did, it filled the board as I wanted, I selected all and clicked on group, but did nor group them together. How did you group them?

thanks,

jack

The example that Ken just did, it acts as one. He did exactly what I am trying to do, but can't get it to act as one

Oh, I think you need to click on the group in the carve list in order to have it act as one?

*edit*

Not work for me either.

Sorry,

I was shutting for the night when saw your reply.

You guys got it! -- you have to select them all and make them into a Group
then you can move them around, shrink or stretch, any way you need.

Thanks Ken, I guess when going to carve and when asks to center on width, I guess it will center the pattern as a single pattern?

Be careful with that wording. It will center the PROJECT on width (if that is what you see on your carvewright display). So then again it goes back to how you have your project setup in designer.
