I want to try out the ai2mpc program, but all the programs I have export in eps, not ai. Any ideas?

ai is an Adobe Illustrator file. I think you use the ai2mpc as a command line program. Make your drawing in illustrator and then use the command line structure to convert it. Hope this helps.

I don't have illustrator. I have an eps that needs to be an illustrator file before I can use ai2mpc

You can open the EPS file in AI, you may need to do that any way, to use the ai2mpc program you need to use an older version of AI, I think it was version 8. I can open older versions with AI CS4 and CS2. Just use the “Save As” function and then use the drop down window to select older versions.

.eps files will open in Photoshop or CorelDraw., then exported out as an .ai file. Then the command line structure of ai2mpc can be used. Hopoe this helps.

It should be posted in the forum.. or just do a google search. I know it shows up there also. And yes it does. You can even assign bits and depths in illustrator and they carry over to your MPC.

I love it for vector work.
