Flexshaft problem

Hey guys,
While doing a project, I got a Z-axis stall. As I was checking things out I noticed that the flexshaft (bit end) was loose. When I removed it from the bit the cap separated from the shaft. Does this mean a new flexshaft assy. or is this an epoxy job? It appears, looking at the shaft housing and inside the cap, that it was epoxied originally. Any comments would be appreciated. If re-epoxy, what product would be best?

Mine separated and pulled apart when i pulled it out to scan. I used some two part epoxy i already had. Apply a little close to the end then push it in. Then applied a good dose to the outside were it goes back in. Make sure none runs on inside. I have not had any problem at all with it since and i drought i could pull it back apart.
