View Full Version : Possible bug?

I put a pattern on a 1" thick board, set the pattern depth to .750" and give it a feather of 1/2". So far so good. Now I put a rectangular carve area over the pattern, set the depth to .375" merge style to additive. The idea is to make the pattern emerge above the the board for half the depth of the pattern. So far so good. Thing is, the 1/2" feather of the pattern is no longer 1/2", but 0.
Even though it still indicates 1/2".

So, is this a bug or is this normal... any way to keep the feather?

Not sure we would need to see your project but "additive" could be flatting it as a bug. I also noticed that "draft" is causing some depth issues.

try using groups to isolate the main pattern.

It does this with any patterns I have tried.

Am still using 1.132, on dial-up and just haven't felt the need to move up. Tried your method and the pattern still shows as having 1/2 feather on the toolbar. Pattern visuallly looks raised above the floor of the rectangle when I rotate the board.
