BUG - downloads uncontrollable

When I download a pattern from the forum ( I haven't purchased any lately, so I don't know about that route) the system will not let me choose what folder to put the pattern in. I can later move the pattern to the chosen folder, but the original instance of the pattern remains beyond all my folders and can not be deleted from there.

That has nothing to do with Designer, it is in the OS. You should always shave a choice on where to save UNLESS you just double click on the file which will download it to a temporary folder and then open it in Designer.

once then pick "save" then you should have options where to save it.
