Strange read outs

I noted that my LED has started to display random letters and #s while I go though the set up. They start all the way to the right and work further left only on the top line? Any ideas

Hello Hess,

If you need to replace your LCD anyway...

You might want to get the one from Jeff Birt - it is a backlit LCD and will be much easier to read.

I hoped or hope reformatting the card fixes it....

I closed the deal on Machine #4 tonight, the bank check goes out tomorrow.:p:p:p:p

I can have 4 times the fun..... That will cut down on that 3 weeks of carving.... Running 2 or 3 machines....

Before you buy a new keypad, try what I suggested to Northwoods Woodcrafter on another thread. Replace the flat cable going from the keypad to the computer. As I told him, your problem sounds similar but not exactly like what I had. I replaced the cable and the problem went away. Parts cost me about $5.00 and took about 10 minutes to install it.

Could also be a bad flash card .. At one time I think we had a low level format option..
