I have the files saved from the state quarters patterns of each state, I am attempting to carve the state of texas and when I open this state I get the outline as a carve area.
I would like to carve only the outline at approximatelt .085 deep as it might carve in centerline with the 60 degree bit but after several tries I keep barking up the wrong tree.
I know it is prolly something simple but this old man can't seem to get it right

Thanks in advance

Hi Mike, What you need to do is to remove the carve region from the state outline first, if there is a carve region applied to it. Do this select the state outline then clicking on the carve region icon or going to Tools -->Carve region. You will know if it disabled or not by the blue border around it, if there are no blue border around the icon it's mean that it is disabled.

After you disable the carve region, select the state outline again and right click on it, then pick "Select bit", then follow the instruction in the pop up window.

Hope this help.
