I made this as a free hanging wall sculpture, it measures approx 52" x 52"
It is 4" deep made of Bamboo and free standing. No nails or glue are needed.
The material cost me $27.11 including tax ($2.11)
Not including programing time. (forgot to time myself) the project took almost exactly 3 hours.
Each of the 12 boards took 12 min 13 sec. to carve almost 2.5hrs.
As the boards came off I hit the rollers quickly with my shop vac and slapped another board in the machine then proceeded to assemble the sculpture while the next board carved. When the last board rolled off it was the last piece to assemble.
I want to make these and sell them at art markets, shops, online, etc...
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should price this?
Also it seems I could have saved about 30 min production time if the CarveWright did not have to go through the motions of checking every board every time. Is there any way to avoid the process or at least part of it?
Thanks
Gary

You could probably make dozens of these in the same amount of time using a table saw. Not criticising, just a suggestion.;)

Criticism is welcome as well as praise:-)
Without it there can be no improvement.

I agree with Pratyeka , a table saw and dado blade= done in a few minutes.

If you do it on the CW, The 3/8 bit is a nice way to cut dado's or mortise and could have less blowout, sure tad slower but better in the layout ect..
