Hello All,
I have a pattern I made before upgrading that was using a 1 " thick board and the pattern needed to go to that depth. Basically it's a reversed dish if you would, anyways is there a way I can still get this to carve to my 1" inch depth?

Thank You,
Jim

Max depth of carve is .800 . You will get a warning if you go much deeper .

I read someplace on the forum it is limited to 7/8" because the flutes on the carving bit are that length.

You can buy carving bits for the CW with 1" long flutes so I don't think that is the problem.
I would imagine that the wear and tear on the machine is the real reason.

How can I get 1.113 software? I remember seeing a post awhile back. But I cannot find it now.

Thanks,
Jim
EDIT: I found the older thread and tried to DL the older version and got the 404 does not exist any ideas on how I can carve 1 inch deep?

It appears that LHR has deleted all versions from 1.123 and down from their server. More than likely for a good reason.

Unorthodox but maybe a work around if you do it in two carves.

Set the first carve depth to carve .500 less in designer and carve the bowl taking half the thickness.

On the second carve trick the machine by adding a .500 inch piece of plywood on the bottom of the board after the machine measures and before you the machine begins the second carving.

Just make sure you mark and measure the board before you remove it prior to adding the plywood. Any Comments

Doing it in one carve my damage the machine or break a bit with the current version of software.

Well I did some checking and the pattern will a little short with a flat on the bottom which is ok.
It's a throat filler for a speaker cabinet.

Thanks
Jim
