This is my design on the front mounted dust collector I used a floor sweeper I bought at Home Depot

Nice job! I see the grounding wires connected to the plexi.. Mist of fabric softener wiped on the surface might help too..

No its not copper its aluminum . the screws ground everything to the machine but I still ran a wire to my grounding rod. It works great just like a vacuum cleaner .I still have the bottom dust shoot attatched too.And your are right the chuck rocks........
