What is "Sweep"?

Looking around the new version 1.152, under Tools I found sweep. I don't remember seeing it before. Even if it was there previously, I don't know what it does nore does "Help".
BTW' looking at the "read me" file, version 1.151 ( which we did not see) fixed the Centerline double carve problem.
