Pocket milling

anyone know how to do a pocket mill type operation. an example would be a hole to mount a clock, etc.


if this has already been discussed, point me in that direction.

If your referring to keyhole slots ,have you tried a search for "keyhole"? I have done them in earlier versions of designer,but have not tried it lately. Use the connected line tool. What I did was draw a line about an inch long, and back to the beginning point, stop. Assign a 3/8" bit @ around 5/16" depth. If you go too deep, it will rout in several passes, so you'll just have to experiment on depth . Put in a keyhole bit when it calls for the 3/8" bit. You might want to experiment first.
