Help Needed

I have a board that measures 9.000 square and 1.000 thick
I want to carve a "dished out" circle of 8.500 diameter in the center. The edge will begin at board surface and be .750 depth in the center.
I know I've seen this on here before but I can't locate it at this time
Any and all assistance will be muchly appreciated.

PS I understand about the additional length and such of the project board but these dimensions are my final finished project

I used photoshop to make a circle with a gradient from white in the center to black at the edge. Then made a pattern from it.

Hope that's what you are looking for.

Just do a search on"sled" . Or take two pieces of wood 1" tall x 16" long, center your project , maybe add some filler pieces on each end and carve away.
