I need just plain oval or sguare

I am looking for the plain oval or sgaure so to make an overhang pattern I do not have the means to do this like it says in (How to make Overhang Patterns ) and cut path in the tips and tricks

Just draw an oval, set a carve region to it. Add another pattern - then select both and select outline. This will outline both patterns for your cutout.

That Tips and Tricks (Issue 6 March 2008) is outdated and that technique no longer applies (really should be pulled from the site to avoid confusion). If you do as BJ recommends you will find it works as he described.

Thank you guys it does work ,just had to play around with it with the clip carving thx again:)
