This a plaque I made for a friend. His wife is in the Southern Arizona Hiking Club and is receiving her 100th Peak award. He is giving this to her as a surprise. It is not finished, he wants to finish it. It is carved out of mesquite.

How did you like working with the mesquite? I thought abou trying some next time I go back home to AZ. I wonder if Iron wood could be carved on?

Well if it doesnt turn out you can always use it to smoke some ribs on the grill.
