If you are experiencing lenght measurement problems, or erratic motion in x axis, be sure to check for sawdust buildup between the fixed guide plate and the brass roller assembly. When vacuuming or blowing air in that area, press down on the brass roller to release any sawdust that get compressed under the guide plate.
I was having erratic motion in the X axis, so after checking the usual suspect: masking tape under board, support rollers well adjusted, no binding with the adjustable guide plate, square board... I decided to check for dust in the brass roller encoder... I saw lots of sawdust under the guide plate after removing it.. A few good swears later everything is back and working right.
Not many mentioned this particular spot to check and clean, so add it to your checklist.
