I just got a Les paul neck ready to cutout but the neck is not parallel to the same plane as the board when i add it to a project. Is there any way to shift a carving an arbitrary amount (around 20 degrees). The way it is now there is too much grain runout and the neck will be weak.

Here is a screenshot from the importer.

Can you not choose the slicing plane angle to compensate ? The orientation in the importer should not really matter in the end.

I figured out how to edit the slicing plane (which is remarkably easy :) and got it cut up into what i think will work but the final layout on the board is the problem. I just can't get it to lineup lengthwise with the grain of the wood.

I see. Much more complicated. You either have to rotate the model up front before you import it or rotate the wood in the end. Maybe a sled? Re cut the wood? Good luck.

I rotated the model and exported it again. It is working ok now.
