I think I may have found something undocumented with Designer. At least I don't ever remember reading about it in the manual, so correct me if I am wrong. This is version 1.15, I would be curios if this also works for the older versions.
Let's say you have a pattern placed on your virtual board and you are trying to move that pattern a fraction of an inch. No matter how gentle you are with moving it, it jumps an 1/8" of an inch (this is with the grid snaps off). To move it ever so much, click on the pattern to highlight it and then hold down the ALT key while you tap the arrow key in the direction you want the pattern to go. It will move in such small increments you can hardly see it move.
