Gentlemen,

Thank you again for fixing that part for me, however, this is a complicated project I think. I have all my other settings correct, this will actually carve the entire board to created the raised logos and lettering, however, the badge area needs to be a .130 carve region to place an actual chevron in with hot glue. Any thoughts? Am I just not compensating for the depth being removed for the raised items?

I am attaching the MPC with where the region has to go.

Shame I can't help you Mike but you must have the newest version. I'm still running 1.134.

Edit: Just put the new version on my laptop. Try this....

you'll need to create a carve region for the badge and set it to ,130.
If that doesn't work , trysetting the badge region at 0 and the .130

flyingemt,

Just Like Dan Said

You Have the whole surface set as a .250 carve region
I add the .250 and the .130 together to get .380 --
allowing a .130 depth for your inserted chevron piece.

Careful Ken,

That changes the text and patterns as well. Actually had to use TWO big carve regions so one of them could be grouped and merged with the badge pattern, and the other over the text could be left alone....:)

If it is grouped with the same depth as the origanal carve region, why does it have to be a seperate carve region? I'm still learning too so just asking.

LOL...I'm falling behind posts here....LOL

Check the picture I put in the reply to Ken. If you "merge" the original region so the badge will show, it effects ALL the other elements on that region. Look at how thin the text is in Ken's screen shot.

By making two regions, we can merge the second one with the badge leaving all the other elements as is.

EDIT: LOL...OK...Ken removed his screen shot....LOL

I knew I shouldn't have been drinking last night at the BBQ....

Gentlemen,

Thank you all again for your help. This is for a retiring USAF First Sergeant who is doing so for the sake of her family, so this one means a lot to myself and the 442FW 1st SGT Council.

Again many thanks!

Mike
