Forum limitation question

Ok, Not sure if this is the correct location for this post. Since there is not a category for forum usage. I figure I would post it here so one of the moderators could reply.

Unless I am missing something there appears to be a word length limitation, of 4 characters, on the search option. While I can see the reason for this. It severely limits the searching of key words that are technology related to our hobby or profession.

For example: here are some search expressions that I cannot search for:

"CAD software", "3D software", "Height Map", "Tool Bit", "stl File",
"Import JPG", "PNG Format"

I could go on for hours. Any Technology related discipline uses acronyms. It is a fact of life.

I know that I have missed other posts because I cannot perform these searches.

Hi Joe,

If you type them into search the way you them posted them here ( "Carving Bit" )
they will work in the Search menu. :wink:

Actually, if you search on them exactly the way you just wrote them in your post "with quotes", you can.

Like... "CAD software" will produce reults...:smile:

Jeez Ken, your ARE a fast typer...LOL Either that or you have speech to text software. I guy can't get a "type" in edgewise with you around...LOL...:p
